Update: Fakes. What do we do when we suspect they’re among us?
I’m going to start putting updates at the top of the page and dating the updates:
12/31/2010
The latest victim of deception is a Facebook friend of mine. Also, there are a couple other people that the faker has contacted using another of Jo Von Ho’s tactics. Raquel is now referring to some drama that’s “requiring her to lay low because of an order of protection against an ex-boyfriend” (and see my friend’s #14 below). Remember that bit in the original post about Jo Von Ho’s fake townhouse in Nashville where she said no one at the townhouse offices could verify that she lived there? Her reason being that the folks at the townhouse offices had to sign a contract shielding her identity because of an order of protection against a former boyfriend. I’m now 99% positive that Jo Von Ho behind all of this. She lies so much she can’t keep them all straight. Until someone can prove otherwise, that’s the stake I’m driving in the ground.
Here’s what my friend posted on his Facebook wall today:
I have been talking with her today. She is real, but she was hacked by a nasty ex bf. Anamaris was him. Anamaris never existed. He latched on, carried it out to an extreme. Raq was not there to stop it.
She told me to tell you and anyone else who asks.
1. Anamaris1984 was a hacker dummy account.
2. Raq never wanted anyone to know “updates” on her health, so the whole feed was bs, as per her verification. Anamaris1984 kept going on with bogus status reports, until BrooksBayne discovered he was a faker. Brooks thought it applied to both of them. Raq has been awake the whole time, unable to get into her mail, fb, or twitter.
3. she is in cancer treatment, but was not in coma or lifesupport.
4. She did not authorize the article in the Examiner by Welshman. That was the hacker under the alias Anamaris.
5. Hacker wiped out all of her FB, twitter, and her email, pulled pictures out of her email and posted them to porn sites.
6. For Anamaris1984 he used a pornstar’s photo.
7. She’s trying to rebuild her site “the Hispanic conservative majority”
8. She does know Stephen Kruiser, be he never visited the hospital and she never met him face to face.
9. I spoke with this “Anamaris1984.” She was rude and psychopathic. It was not her sister. She said that she hoped “Raquel died, “etc. It has more the MO of an angry ex-bf.
10. Raq had filed a police report for on…line identity theft.
11. Raq only shared her situation with a small cadre of people.
12. When Brooksbayne caught onto the scam from Anamaris1984, the hacker closed Raq’s account, Anamaris1984’s account, and the FB account.
13. Raq has no real sisters.
14. She has also an Extended Order of Protection lodged against this ex-bf.That’s all I can say. She is flamming livid to discover all this transpired in her absence. Ease off and let her get her ducks in a row. Hacker did some serious damage.
BOTH ANAMARIS’ AND RAQUEL’S TWITTER ACCOUNTS ARE NOW DEACTIVATED ALONG WITH RAQUEL’S FACEBOOK ACCOUNT.
Some of you are aware of online fakes. Some of you are not. When it comes to dealing with people online, you should verify who people are before you vouch for them. This includes anyone who doesn’t appear to be asking for something - not all fakes are scamming people for money. Personally, I think we all have a responsibility to inform one another if we think we’ve spotted a fake.
Last year, there was a woman who went by the name Jo Von Hohenzollern (aka @femmepatriot - she finally closed her Twitter account a couple weeks after she was finally outed). Today, I refer to her as Jo Von Ho. She was introduced to several groups of people by a woman who was a trusted source in the grassroots crowd. No one bothered to vet “Jo” because of the appearance of the source vouching for Jo Von Ho. Jo made friends fast. She used fake pictures of a pretty girl from an online dating site (this eventually came out too). She claimed to be from a former communist country, she claimed to have money. She claimed a lot of things.
The St. Louis Tea Party group had members who were burned by this Jo. James O’Keefe’s camp had similar dealings with her too. There were even a couple great patriot ladies who befriended her who made plans to meet with Jo Von Ho. They flew all the way to meet her. When they landed, Jo concocted her usual story of “I’m so sorry. I can’t meet with you. My cancer treatment has made me too ill.”
Jo claimed to have bought a townhouse in Nashville. When the Tea Party Nation booked their “convention”, Jo made plans with the St. Louis Tea Partiers (a connection because of Mike Flynn and O’keefe though Breitbart’s tribe of people) to host a party. Anyway, they finally all made plans to have an after party at the Tea Party Nation convention. Jo said she would book the room and pay for all the food. Remember, she said she had money. She even said told the St. Louis people that she was going to have Rush Limbaugh show up. When it was time to meet and go through with the after party, Jo used her “I can’t meet everyone. My cancer treatment has me under the weather” excuse again.
I became aware of this nonsense shortly after this happened. The reason I didn’t know sooner is that everyone kept their mouths shut and didn’t out the obvious faker. Here’s how I finally outed the faker once and for all - I went to Nashville.
In the meantime, Jo had been sending many of the girls in the conservative grassroots scene pictures of the new house Jo claimed to have bought in Nashville. This was in addition to the townhome. She even sent the house.com listing. She made up elaborate stories about how she was remodeling said house and shared the stories with her “friends” - several of whom are still Twisters/Anystreet members.
At nearly the same time, Jo had found out that I had started and sold a few companies, and that I was one of the people who helped start the tea party movement. She reached out and claimed to be interested in advancing the cause and wanted to invest money in individuals/groups with a proven track record. She had no idea that I was already suspicious of her before ever talking to her.
Finally, I had some business in Nashville. Before I went, Jo found out I was coming and wanted to meet. I thought…”is there going to be another medical emergency.” lol! Anyway, after I landed in Nashville, I was en route to my real meeting with real people and I got an email from Jo. Seems her “mother” had a stroke while I was in the air. She had to leave town. That’s when I found out about Jo’s “sister”.
Jo used the guise of having a $1.5 million investment ready for the movement and wanted my advice on how to proceed with it. She said she had all the docs drawn up. So, after Jo “left” to be with her “mother”, she kept saying her “sister” would come to Nashville to show me the contract. I even got a call from a number I didn’t recognize from a girl who claimed to be Jo’s sister stating she would be in Nashville later that night to show me the contract. This “sister” sounded an awful lot like Jo Von Ho. Jo’s sister never called back and never showed up in Nashville.
After not hearing from the “sister”, I finally contacted the townhome complex where Jo claimed to own a townhome. The townhome management didn’t know who she was when I showed them her online pictures and told them her name. I texted Jo Vo Ho about this. She claimed that she was being stalked and made the townhome complex sign papers to protect her identity. Mighty convenient lie. However, I knew one of the people working at that complex. He confirmed that this woman was lying about everything she said regarding being domiciled there. Helps to live in a town for that many years. Jo lie confirmed.
Regarding Jo’s “home” that she claimed to have purchased that she was supposedly remodeling, I drove by that too as it was close to a friend’s place. I saw a guy outside and I stopped and asked him if he had recently bought the house. He said that he was the one who listed the house and had taken the house off the market due to no offers being made on the house. Another Jo lie confirmed.
At this point, it was obvious that this person “Jo” was a pathological liar. And she didn’t try to take things from people other than their trust - for all you people thinking that fakes are only out to bilk people for money.
All the phone numbers Jo used, her “Nashville” numbers, including her “parents’” and her “sister’s” were all Magic Jack phone numbers, save for the Metro PCS (these are prepaid plans - untraceable because ppl can use prepaid visa cards to buy service) cell phone she used. Magic Jack can provide a number in any city and state - perfect for the person lying about who/where they are. More Jo Von Ho lies confirmed.
Here’s are some pix and videos sent from folks all over the country who read this story and suspected it was the same “Jo”. They were right.
“Jo Von Ho”(aka @femmepatriot) said she looked like this (a couple of images she used in correspondence with ppl):

But “Jo Von Ho” actually looks like this (taken from this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtvqSvrVjVY):

Here’s another video of “Jo Von Ho” talking (For those of you who ever talked to her on the phone. I have. It’s her. She’s the one holding the camera.): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6NRXM0lNvc
Is she still working with Anystreet?
There was so much more that happened, but I didn’t feel like writing War and Peace today.
When all this was finally disseminated to people throughout the conservative grassroots community, others began to speak up. Seems we only knew of the tip of the iceberg. Jo had claimed she was former military. A guy in DC outed her as lying about that because Jo had burned some military wives there after lying about helping set up a “families of wounded vets fund”. Seems someone was in the outfit Jo claimed to be in at the time she claimed to be in it. Another confirmed Jo lie.
Jo was finally called out by a few people publicly on Twitter and she disappeared behind the wall of fake stories, fake numbers, fake addresses, and fake persona. None of us have heard from her since… as far as we know.
Fast forward to a couple weeks ago. I read this blog post about a “young patriot”, Raquel, who was fighting cancer and as I’m reading the story, I immediately think that this sounds like Jo Von Ho - she’s new to the scene, from a communist country, staunch conservative…cancer. So, I did a little digging. I found out that the girl’s Twitter account was less than 2 months old. And that her sister, @anamaris1984, was fielding all inquiries about her sister (another Jo Von Ho tactic). How did someone 2 months into the scene get so connected?
Subsequently, I contacted one of the Twister gals who had experience with Jo Vo Ho about this Raquel story. She immediately tried to correct me and tell me that she was aware of the Raquel story and that “it was true”. After she took the time to hear what I was saying, she became suspicious and started digging around along with one of her compadres who was also familiar with the story. My hunch is that someone, probably a guy, was pushing to get to know this girl in real life and she needed an excuse to bail without being found out. The exact same thing happened with Jo Von Ho and one of the Anystreet guys last year.
I’ve since tried contacting one person who has claimed to have contact with these girls. This person has not verified whether this person is a real life friend or online an online friend. Seems like a simple thing to do - you either know them in real life or you don’t.
This DM below is from Kruiser that he sent in response to a public @ reply last week (http://twitter.com/#!/brooksbayne/statuses/18435745106624512)

These are my DM responses back to him (in reverse chronological order - darned Twitter):

So, for all you folks who feel that I ambushed Kruiser last night, you’re mistaken. What he did was ignore me/dismiss me offhandedly last week. I felt I had no choice but to go public with the query in a larger way.
Why do I care? I don’t really care all that much, but I don’t want others to invest time in someone who would make up these types of stories, because if some of these people are pathological liars, nothing good can come of interacting with them. I’m only trying to be helpful in the most direct way possible. That’s it. If I’m wrong about Raquel, then I’m sorry, but it seems all too familiar for me to ignore.
I hope this helps explain my recent Twitter comments. Stop hating! I want the truth just like you do.
If anyone has information confirming my suspicions, or otherwise, please leave it in the comments below.
Update: Anamaris, the supposed sister of Raquel had her account suspended after this information came out http://twitter.com/Anamaris1984

And here’s Raquel’s profile:

An anonymous guy on Twitter sent to me this image Raquel uploaded to Twitpic (according to him, she was in a chat session with him and asked him how to delete the image, after she showed it to him, of course). Tineye has it listed 17 times (http://www.tineye.com/search/5fd0c51b56bfffd45dc2ac8b32bdc8b6edbe3bea/) here:

The IP address in Anamaris’ email puts her near Holmdel, New Jersey 07733. Another email has her IP in Miami, Florida - where Jo Von Ho’s emails came from last year. Is this the same person?
