I’m digging Google’s public data explorer. This is my second blog post sharing data from it this week!

This data animation will show how the total births have dropped dramatically in the last 50 years. The upside is that we’re living longer.

Click the “play” button (the arrow at the bottom left) to see the timeline’s animation.

There were a few anomalies in the chart - China, Rwanda and Cambodia. I don’t know if tragic events occurred to make the life expectancy move drop like that, or if there was a problem with the data. If you know, leave a comment below.
